I've admittedly held off on booking any new engagements, even this far into the wake of CoronaVirus. I'm still working on finding my best fit crew mates, and a roster of venues that'll take us.
I'll be perfectly honest. Even Capt Ahab didn't show up for work the day after the White Whale bit his leg off. We mariners can have our "off-days" now and again. We'll mend our ailments, have a few shots of rum, throw a bandage on the bloody spot & climb back behind the oars. It's nigh unto May & already the wanderlust is calling me. But fear... fear can hold a man back when it's yourself you don't trust. The harbormaster's been trying to nudge me towards the pier & I daresay the rudder would feel good in my hands again. I simply have to rip off the band-aid & move on. Failure takes on an ever greater proportion the longer you lie in it. It's time to have faith & try again.
